On 7 November, the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and DutchCulture are organizing a conference on future-oriented cooperation between the Netherlands and Indonesia, titled Indonesia Now 2017. This sequel to the first Indonesia Now in 2015 aims to bring people with a personal, professional or academic interest in Indonesia together to discuss the political, academic and cultural landscape of modern-day Indonesia.

This event will go beyond just describing the close ties and existing examples of cooperation between the Netherlands and Indonesia. At Indonesia Now 2017, you can engage with academics, civil society actors, policy makers and artists to look into the future and explore new avenues for cooperation between the countries. Learn from our speakers and share your knowledge, ideas and suggestions on how to strengthen ties with Indonesia.

The conference will start with a plenary session, followed by breakout sessions on politics, contemporary arts, cultural heritage and education. We will announce the complete programme including speakers soon. Please pre-register if you wish to stay up to date. In this way, you will have timely access to the complete programme and you will be able to register your preferences for the break-out sessions.
