Joyce Pepe, Intern EUNIC Netherlands

As an intern at EUNIC Netherlands, I help National Institutes for Culture draft project and budget proposals and support the marketing and communication strategy of the cluster. Working as an intermediary between representatives from over 21 countries not only do I get to have very insightful days, but I get to promote values such as cultural diversity and understanding.

Over the past 5 years, I have studied Europe and the European Union from a political, social and cultural perspective, recently obtaining an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree in Euroculture. Having lived in 5 different countries during this period I have particularly become interested in how states carry out cultural diplomacy and safeguard their own cultural tangible and intangible cultural heritage.

Besides my internship I help translate and edit academic articles from Spanish to English, I love to cook recipes from all over the world and embroider.
