Documentary on the plantation history of Suriname

The Surtefilm Foundation of film maker John Slagveer produced a documentary series on the 'plantation history' consisting of 6 parts. The documentary tells the story of the old plantations in Suriname from 1667 until the 20th century. The realisation of the series was in close cooperation with schools in Suriname. For the premiere / preview, 400 school children from Saramacca, Commewijne, Para and Paramaribo were part of the audience.
