Working visit by DutchCulture and Creative Europe Desk NL to Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao

From 22 August to 1 September the CED will visit the ABC islands to meet with makers and organisations and give workshops about European funding opportunities.
Date(s)
-

Jelle Burggraaff (Head of Mobility & Advice at the Creative Europe Desk NL) and Albert Meijer (Adviser at the Creative Europe Desk NL) will pay a working visit to Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao. On each island, they will meet with makers and organisations and give workshops about European funding opportunities. These workshops will also offer information on how DutchCulture can support makers and organisations in the field of international cultural collaboration.

All makers and cultural organisations interested in international cultural collaboration are welcome to attend these workshops. Various questions will be addressed, such as: what is the Creative Europe programme and who is it for? What are the various European subsidy schemes available? What does DutchCulture do and how can we help you expand your international network? The workshops are followed by an informal networking opportunity.

All the islands that are part of the Overseas Countries and Territories (OCT, for the Kingdom of the Netherlands this comprises Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, Saba, St. Eustatius and St. Maarten) are entitled to participate in the Creative Europe programme. This has hardly happened so far, however. Recently, the European Commission launched the pilot programme Archipel.eu, especially for the OCT and OR (Outermost Regions). During this working visit, we will be talking to participant organisations, in part to identify the main obstacles in the OCT to participating in the Creative Europe programme.
