Developing further cultural cooperation with China

On Monday 15 December 2014, DutchCulture signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with China International Cultural Association.

The MoU should contribute to the further development of the cultural exchange and cooperation between the Netherlands and China.

Established in 1986, China International Cultural Association (CICA) is a national non-profit social organization dedicated to people-to-people cultural exchange and cooperation. It operates under the guidance and with support from the Chinese Ministry of Culture and cooperates with various countries via a series of programmes, like Management Training for Cultural Professionals, China International Youth Arts Festival, China Young Artists Project and Oriental Cultural Research.

The signed MoU between DutchCulture and CICA on cultural exchange and cooperation was earlier approved by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science with collaborative assistance of the Chinese Embassy in The Hague. The MoU is a departing point for the two organizations to work closely in the future on collaborating and co-facilitating substantial cultural programmes between the two countries, for example in the field of museum management training, concert touring and exhibition exchanges.
