DutchCulture is the network and knowledge organisation for international cultural cooperation.
We are the point of contact for the cultural sector in the Netherlands and Dutch diplomatic posts abroad. DutchCulture wants to help all those who work in the artistic and cultural field - from individual artists to renowned organizations - who harbor international ambitions. Our ambition is to help them closer to the international stage.
DutchCulture is financed by a four-year subsidy (2017-2020) from both the Dutch Ministry of Education, Cultural Affairs and Science and the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. For our European activities, we receive a contribution from the European Commission and from the Dutch Ministry of Internal Affairs. Currently, around 30 work at DutchCulture. We are located in Amsterdam.
We realize, stimulate and support collaboration between artists and art institutions worldwide. Sometimes with organizations, diplomatic posts and governments, sometimes with artists themselves, with individual advice and tailored guidance.
Besides a knowledge centre, we are also a network organisation. Where culture, media and heritage are cross-border, DutchCulture brings together people, organizations, knowledge and cultures. We are therefore the contact point for the EU programs Creative Europe and Europe for Citizens.
Among other things, DutchCulture provides information on European grants and on artist-in-residences throughout the world, organizes work visits for embassies and foreign experts, collects information on the export of Dutch culture, stimulates collaboration and coordinates cultural programs worldwide.
We gladly share our information, advice and contacts with you through websites and social media, or during meetings and conversations in our office. You can find our contact info here.
