Pacific Rim Council on Urban Development

The Pacific Rim Council on Urban Development (PRCUD) is an international organization, encompassing the academic, private and public sectors established to enhance the development of linkages between cities in the Pacific Rim region. Founded in 1989 by a small group of professionals, the PRCUD promotes better understanding of cities, and encourages the achievement of excellence in urban development, planning and management to improve the economic performance and sustainability of cities. As of 1999, seventeen City Chapters have been established.
