Introducing Domo: The Netherlands’ New Home for International Cultural Collaboration
At a time when cultural organisations across the Netherlands and beyond face mounting challenges—funding cuts, political pressure, and global instability—four leading institutions are taking a bold, united step forward. Cultural Emergency Response (CER), DutchCulture, the European Cultural Foundation (ECF), and the Prince Claus Fund are launching Domo: a new home for international cultural collaboration.
Believing in culture's power to spark resilience and change, Domo’s mission is to inspire, empower, and connect individuals, communities, and organisations across borders. Though the cultural sector is increasingly under strain, the need for dialogue, cooperation, and solidarity has never been more urgent.
As a home for culture in action, Domo is a public space, a platform for ideas, a catalyst for collaboration, and a hub for meaningful exchange. It is designed to strengthen international partnerships, hosting year-round events and initiatives that facilitate dialogue and spark collaborative action.

The new space is located at Nieuwe Herengracht 14, within the H’ART Museum complex in Amsterdam, where CER, Dutch Culture, and ECF are already sharing their offices, with the Prince Claus Fund joining them later this year. In 2026, the public space Domo will be officially opened.
The name Domo - which means "home" in many languages - reflects the new organisation’s purpose: to be a space and a community that supports cultural actors worldwide and fosters a global ecosystem of international cooperation. Domo unites diverse voices to ensure international cultural collaboration not only survives but thrives, driving positive change in Amsterdam and beyond.
