Podcast 'Kopje Koffie' about Dutch literature in Germany

The Dutch Foundation for Literature and the Dutch Embassy in Berlin, in cooperation with Flanders Literature and the General Representation of the Government of Flanders in Germany, are launching the new podcast Kopje Koffie (Cup of Coffee) for the German readers and audience. Because live perfomances are still very hard to organise, the foundation looked for different ways of drawing attention to the Dutch-language translated literature in Germany.

The first episode features Arnon Grunberg telling about the translation by Rainer Kersten of his novel Bezette Gebieden (Besetzte Gebiete, published by German publishing house KiWi). Grunberg is one of the most productive and internationally famous Dutch writers. Moreover, Grunberg descends from a Jewish-German family and thus speaks German fluently.

The podcast is launched at the end of May, at the start of the Leipzig Bookfair. You can listen via website of The Dutch Foundation for Literature or the podcast hosts in Germany.
