#SinArts event 01 - Art and the City

The 1st official #SinArts event organized by Alex Lebbink will be on 11 December on the occassion of the exhibition “Death and Life of a City” @Canvas international Art Gallery.

The urbanisation and creation of mega-metropoles, like Chongqing where both artists come from, not only affects society as a whole but strongly influences their art practice as well. The speakers will reflect on urbanisation, the works of Shen Hua and Li Cao, but also on art practice in China as a whole.

An evening of talks about the effects of mega urbanization on the next generation of Chinese art practice. (Speakers tbc.)
