The annual Embassy Culture Days is one of the most important gatherings for cultural officers working at Dutch embassies worldwide, to keep them up to date and inspire them with new ideas. After two online editions during the corona pandemic, the 2022 edition of the Embassy Culture Days takes place in real life again in Arnhem and The Hague.

Today’s society is in an intriguing period of global transition in terms of shifting power relations and economic and ecological means. Due to these changes, we face new moral challenges in making more sustainable and responsible choices for the future. During the Embassy Culture Days, the Dutch embassy employees will exchange knowledge on how contemporary developments are reflected in the cultural field. Topics such as cultural heritage and colonial past, and the Diversity & Inclusion and Fair Practice Codes will be discussed through various sessions to inspire each other with ideas for the future.

The Embassy Culture Days are closed sessions organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (BZ), the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science (OCW) and DutchCulture with contributions from various partners.
