Creative Industries Fund NL: Open Call Residency Jatiwangi art Factory

The Creative Industries Fund is one of the 6 national cultural funds. It provides grants that contribute to promoting high-quality standards, development, and professionalisation of the contemporary creative industry in the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

The Stimuleringsfonds Creatieve Industrie offers two residency positions at Jatiwangi art Factory (JaF) in Jatisura, Indonesia, from 15 May to 15 July 2027. The residency is part of JaF's recurring Tahun Tanah programme and the 2027 theme is Elmu Ning Tanah (Learning from the Earth). Residents are invited to explore the relationship between land, people, history and culture and to contribute to a collective process of territorial mapping. They are expected to consider tanah as more than a material resource, contribute to the development of the Terracotta City concept and think about the future of the terracotta industry in Jatiwangi. The residency provides opportunities for research, experimentation, professional networking and the development of new work rooted in the local physical and cultural context. JaF provides accommodation, workspace, practical support and access to its network.
