Dutch Music Export: Open Call Creative Mission São Paulo 2026

Dutch Music Export: Open Call Creative Mission São Paulo 2026

Funding for a mission to strenghten creative and professional collaboration between Dutch and Brazilian music sectors

Dutch Music Export is an initiative of Performing Arts Fund NL, Buma Cultuur, and Stichting Popcoalitie, aiming to strengthen the international position of Dutch pop music within the global music sector.

The aim of this mission is to strengthen creative and professional collaboration between the Dutch and Brazilian music sectors. Brazil is one of the fastest-growing music markets in the world and plays an increasingly important international role across electronic music, pop, club culture, funk, baile funk and other contemporary genres.

The mission connects to the Brazil focus within Amsterdam Dance Event 2026. In the lead-up to São Paulo, Dutch Music Export will therefore also connect the mission to relevant Brazil-focused programme elements during ADE in October. This creates a trajectory in which Dutch creatives and professionals can first engage with the Brazilian market in Amsterdam and then deepen these contacts in São Paulo.

For this mission, Dutch Music Export will select two participant groups:

  • Creatives
    • Approximately 5 to 6 Dutch producers, songwriters, DJ/producers and/or artist-producers who will take part in the creative writing and studio programme in São Paulo.
  • Music Professionals
    • Approximately 4 Dutch music professionals who will take part in a parallel programme with company visits, B2B meetings, market introductions and networking moments.
