Dutch Music Export: Showcase Support

Funding for Dutch music artists playing at a showcase event

Dutch Music Export is an initiative of Performing Arts Fund NL, Buma Cultuur, and Stichting Popcoalitie, aiming to strengthen the international position of Dutch pop music within the global music sector.

Upon receiving an invitation for participation in an international music industry event, Dutch artists can apply for a contribution to cover travel, hotel, and visa expenses.

Professional pop artists from the Kingdom of the Netherlands, with significant international potential, who wish to participate in an international music industry event for which the artist has been invited.

How much

50 % of travel, hotel and visa costs with varying maximum amounts per show case event.

Requirements

The artist must:

  • Hold the Dutch nationality;
  • Possess a substantial amount of Dutch copyrights;
  • Be part of a suitably professional organization with accounting capabilities for delivering professional and substantive evaluations and settlements;
  • Exhibit a sufficiently demonstrable professional status concerning Dutch activities;
  • Have an adequate professional team comprising internationally and locally (financially) engaged partners, along with substantial professional audio, video, and promotional materials;
  • Demonstrate thorough preparation and investment based on an international long-term vision, approach, and timetable for the intended target country, where activities have already been partially established;
  • Show potential demonstrable international interests from the target country or countries.
