Witte Rook & IZOLYATSIA: Digital Explorers Across Borders

Witte Rook & IZOLYATSIA: Digital Explorers Across Borders

A funded digital residency programme connecting artists from the Netherlands and Ukraine through online collaboration, artistic research and co-creation

Digital Explorers Across Borders is a collaborative project by Dutch arts platform Witte Rook and Ukrainian cultural organisation IZOLYATSIA. The programme brings together artists from the Netherlands and Ukraine to explore new models of digital artist residencies.

Through three residency phases in 2027, participating artists collaborate remotely using the common.garden platform to develop artistic work, exchange knowledge and experiment with digital technologies. The programme aims to create sustainable opportunities for international artistic collaboration where physical encounters are restricted by war, repression or other barriers.

Please note: the participating countries mentioned are not physical travel destinations. The residencies take place online.
