VOC Historical Society

The society was established in 2000 and has two main objectives:

1) To enhance the pre-colonial maritime history of Western Australia by adding another two hundred years to its record and to make this history extensively known.

2) To investigate information concering evidence of shipwreck survivors' habitats on Australian soil and the extent to which survivors made contact with local aboriginal groups, the degree of integration and is effect on aboriginal culture, practives and lifestyle.
