Apply now: free workshop International Cooperation in Youth Culture on 14 October
This practical session is open for everyone in the Dutch cultural field with international ambitions and working with and for children and youth. How do you start working abroad? Where do you find relevant partner organisations? And how do you deal with cultural differences between your audiences and organisations?
During the workshop three best practices will be discussed:
- Ms Dakaya Lenz of the children museum Villa Zapakara (Paramaribo, Surinam) will talk about their cooperation with Tropenmuseum Junior (Amsterdam)
- Ms Josee Hussaarts of youth theatre group Kwatta (Nijmegen) will give information about their International programme
- Ms Maren Siebert of FOAM (Amsterdam) will share their experience on the photography project Brooklyn – Amsterdam.
About Hands On! Conference
From 12 – 15 October 2015 the 10th international Hands On! Conference is taking place in Amsterdam. Several hundred visitors working in children museums from over the world are to be inspired by the latest developments in the field of children’s education in museums, children’s museums and science centers.
This years theme is 'Touch and Learn'. How can museums touch the hearts and minds of children? The conference explores how to encourage creativity and lifelong learning in children.
