DutChinese Preview 中荷作用预展

DutChinese is a group of young people who rooted in Chinese culture and cultivated in Dutch life. They build communication bridge between China and the Netherlands, initiate and organize cultural activities, also integrate resource in creative industries. They are proud of our cross-cultural identity, which helps us to analyze both appeals to achieve a win-win cooperation.

The team curated and realized Graphic Happiness, 100 years of Dutch Graphic Design, a touring exhibition in China. After this, they initiated the cultural exchange project DutChinese, in which they involved Dutch design and Chinese craftsmenship to share, exchange and cooperate. Both sides invest their strength to achieve a real double happiness.

The project participated by 5 outstanding Dutch designers from different professional fields, and 5 Nanjing handicraft masters. They work together in pairs, learn from each other, experiment new techniques, and create products. Throughout the process, tradition & modern, Eastern & Western, manufacturing & creation clashes, enlightens sparkles, and merges. DutChinese stimulates an in-depth exchange of culture and ideas, while share the creative achievements, so that the two countries will build a better understanding and relation.

Hereby it is our sincere invitation to welcome you to attend the opening event of DutChinese Preview. By organizing this, we would love to gather governments, organizations, associations, academies, media and people working in cultural and creative industries from both Dutch and Chinese sides. Let us meet, mingle and hopefully collaborate in the future. Opening event is on the 28th September, Sunday at 14.00, located in Nanjing Creative and Design Center, Qinhuai District LingJiaoShi 66. The exhibition will last until 5th October.
