DutchCulture | Buitengaats: Art Basel and LISTE

Art Basel is one of the the world’s most important art fairs, where every artistic medium is represented: paintings, sculpture, installations, videos, multiples, prints, photography, and performance. Over 300 leading galleries from around the world are participating, including one from Amsterdam: Annet Gelink Gallery. Art Basel will take place from 19 to 22 June.

At Art Basel, Dutch artists Guido van der Werve, Saskia Olde Wolbers and Katja Novitskova, among others, are represented by foreign galleries.

Almost simultaneously with Art Basel, LISTE - Art Fair Basel will take place. LISTE is the art fair for leading galleries of a new and middle generation with a focus on contemporary and especially young, emerging art and many new discoveries. It will take place from 17 to 22 June.

The following Dutch galleries and arts centres are participating: Martin van Zomeren (with artists Navid Nuur en Anne de Vries), Jeanine Hofland, Ellen de Bruijne Projects and Stigter van Doesburg. De Appel Arts Centre Amsterdam will contribute to The Gallerist Program, in which students will have a presence at the fair with their own gallery stand. What the students have learned as theory will be put to the practice test at LISTE.
