Understanding Europe-China cultural exchange
The European Union National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC) is behind a comprehensive publication which aims at facilitating exchanges and co‐productions between European and Chinese practitioners in all fields of creative culture and in this way to contribute to the understanding of Europe‐China cultural cooperation.
The EUROPE CHINA CULTURAL COMPASS which comes in both an English and a Chinese language version is part of the ongoing dialogue between Europe and China. It can be seen as a prelude to the coming Sino‐European Year of Intercultural Dialogue.
EUROPE CHINA CULTURAL COMPASS presents a broad range of information and perspectives relevant to cultural cooperation between European and Chinese stakeholders. It provides relevant background knowledge (society, media, value systems etc), information on how the cultural sectors function differently, case stories, a project process analysis, crystallizing challenges, learning and practices, and an extensive resource chapter.
