Mutual Cultural Heritage Travel compensation

DutchCulture is starting a new scheme to support international travels related to Mutual Cultural Heritage cooperation.

The new scheme supports Dutch heritage professionals who wish to visit one of the ten Mutual Cultural Heritage (MCH) countries: the United States of America, Suriname, Brazil, South Africa, India, Russia, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Australia and Japan.

The purpose of the MCH Matching Fund Travel compensation is to improve MCH projects. Dutch legal entities have the opportunity to apply for compensation to travel to one of the ten MCH countries. By doing so, they will enhance their local network and gain a better understanding of the local circumstances. This in turn will strengthen their MCH project, and improve the project’s sustainability.

An application needs to be submitted no later later than six weeks prior to departure. The scheme covers the cost of a return ticket to one of the ten MCH countries.

The scheme is part of the Mutual Cultural Heritage Matching Fund, which has been managed by DutchCulture since 2013. This fund is made available by the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Education, Culture and Science.
