European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018

The European Year of Cultural Heritage aims to highlight the influential and unifying role that heritage plays in the culturally diverse European continent.

Each country has its own history and heritage, but these are often inextricably tied up with those of surrounding countries. Heritage has no borders, but it unites people and encourages mutual understanding and respect.

DutchCulture and Kunsten `92 are teaming up with a large number of heritage organisations to design a national programme for the theme year. On 21 September, the Cultural Heritage Agency of the Netherlands is organising an informational meeting for professionals about the European Year of Cultural Heritage. The Dutch narrative for 2018 will be presented at this event, and there will be inspiration sessions for the heritage sector and other sectors.
