The Postcards from Ukraine project aims to record and demonstrate the damage caused to the Ukrainian culture by the Russian troops. There are postcards from different regions of Ukraine, each tells the story of a particular cultural monument and the circumstances under which it was destroyed or damaged.

Visitors programme Ukraine: cultural managers and policymakers

Through this programme, we aim to support Ukrainian cultural managers and policymakers in safeguarding and strengthening Ukraine's cultural heritage.

After our successful first visitors programme for Ukrainian museum directors in February, DutchCulture is pleased to welcome professionals from Ukraine once again.

The Russian invasion is targeted at the destruction and negation of Ukraine's independent cultural identity, history, and heritage in all its forms. Therefore, it is crucial to support the Ukrainian cultural sector, not only financially but also through knowledge exchange and building sustainable networks.

As a consequence, DutchCulture will host five high-level policymakers and cultural managers from Ukraine for a week-long visitors programme. We have invited colleagues from organizations that play a pivotal role in preserving and developing Ukraine's cultural ecosystem, including representatives from the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation, the Ukrainian Institute, the Ukrainian Center for Cultural Research, and the Ukrainian Book Institute. They will visit the Netherlands for inspiration, capacity building, and knowledge exchange with the Dutch cultural sector.

As always, DutchCulture has prepared a carefully tailored programme based on the participants' specific interests and requests. Among their areas of interest are gaining a deeper understanding of the Dutch cultural system, cultural policy-making, the functioning of Dutch national funds, cultural legislation and the Codes of Good Governance, Inclusion and Diversity, and Fair Practice.
