Watch: EU Funding Marathon #1: Culture Moves Europe

We offer 5 online sessions to make European funds more accessible to creators and cultural organizations in the Netherlands and beyond.

We have initiated the EU Funding Marathon to make European funds more accessible to creators and cultural organizations in the Netherlands and beyond. These funds cover areas like innovation, science, arts and media. Initially, we're hosting five online sessions, each focusing on a different fund.

In each session, a fund will present itself, and we will address questions such as which projects are suitable for these funds, how to apply and what we can learn from successful applicants. Of course, there's also room to ask questions. All sessions are online accessible via live stream every third Wednesday of the month from 15:30 to 17:00. All sessions will be in Dutch, except the first one on 18 October, which will be in English.

The EU Funding Marathon is organized by DutchCulture|Creative Europe Desk NL, in cooperation with Waag|Futurelab.

In a series of online sessions, DutchCulture | Creative Europe Desk NL and Waag | Futurelab make European funds and subsidy programmes more accessible for creators, cultural institutions, and professionals in the Netherlands. This is #1: Culture Moves Europe. (English)

18 October: #1 Culture Moves Europe

Are you an (aspiring) artist with a fantastic idea for a project abroad? Then Culture Moves Europe might be the key to realizing your international ambitions.

Culture Moves Europe is the new mobility financing programme for artists and cultural professionals active in sectors such as architecture, heritage, design, fashion, literary translations, music, performing arts, and visual arts. There is also a scheme for residency hosts.

In this session, we provide you with information about the grants available for individual artists. Which projects are supported? Who is eligible to apply, and how do you go about it? Loli Meseguer from the Goethe-Institut Brussels will guide you through the details, timeline, and requirements of the mobility scheme. Designer/filmmaker Emilia Tapprest will share her research project experience in Vilnius (Latvia) and curator/photographer Marijn van der Leeuw will talk about her exhibition in Sofia (Bulgaria). They will share their insights into the application process and are ready to answer all your questions.
