A dancing accordion and some percussion. In addition to the sounds of baião or xote, these are the ingredients for a party. Forró is the popular dance music from northeastern Brazil since the fifties, and a hit across the entire country. Today Brazilian accordion players like Toninho Ferragutti and Alessandro Kramer keep the tradition of Brazilian folk alive, mixing it with jazz and other styles.
