Choreography Emio Greco and Pieter C. Scholten | ICKamsterdam | June 15th- 16th 2013 | Idans Festival Istanbul (TR)
Invited by iDANS 06 ICKamsterdam, city company of dance of Amsterdam, will perform the location project Addio alla Fine of choreographers Emio Greco and Pieter C. Scholten in Istanbul on 15 and 16 June 2013. On a Turkish shipyard the public can board a modern Noah's Ark and starts a theatrical journey on the Bosphorus. Special is the collaboration of several local artists in this performance. Addio alla Fine (Farewell to End) had its Dutch premiere in 2012 on the IJ river in Amsterdam during the internationally acclaimed Holland Festival.
SONA VEDA, as the Turkish translation of the title Addio alla Fine sounds, has the same structure and choreography as the original version that premiered in coproduction with the Holland Festival. This version takes place in a unique shipyard in theGolden Horn. Several Turkish artists provide a personal contribution to the performance, this from their own cultural and artistic background. Turkish author Özen Yula has written two texts specially for this project, the young collective Biriken created a play and singer Nuri Harun Ates gives a musical theatrical performance. Furthermore, Greco and Scholten have made a video installation with filmmaker Maité Bermudez and also the dancers of ICKamsterdam are giving a surprising act.

ICKamsterdam
In 2009 choreographers Emio Greco and Pieter C. Scholten decided to gather all their activities and they gave rise to the International Choreographic Arts Centre Amsterdam (ICKamsterdam). ICKamsterdam is a platform for contemporary dance and is grounded on three pillars: Productions (the production of dance performances), Guest Artists (the stimulation and support of new, young talents from both an artistic and a business perspective) and Academy (the transfer of knowledge in the dance field in educational and research programs).
