Brasilian 70'ties at Bim
Fri 22 Mar 2013, Bimhuis, Amsterdam.
Singer Lilian Vieira (Zuco 103) and her new band honor the heroes of Brazilian music, in particular the Música Popular Brasileira. This tropical mix of pop, soul, jazz and bossa nova from the 1960s and 70s still influences young musicians, dancers and DJs.
Lilian and band will perform songs by the legendary Elis Regina, seen by many as the best Brazilian singer of all time, and the famous singer/songwriters Tim Maia, Milton Nascimento and Jorge Ben, composer of ‘Mas Que Nada’.
In addition the band will perform brand new Lilian Vieira songs of Lilian Vieira - her interpretation of the Samba Soul.
Afterwards: DJ’s ANTAL & KC THE FUNKAHOLIC and special guest DJ PAULAO (São Paulo) celebrating the release of his compilation on Kindred Spirits
