Date(s)

1st of February Hüseyin Badilli trio will perform at Two Sisters (Bilderdijkstraat) in Amsterdam with a whole new repertoire special for this event 'Unplugged Queer Songs' and DJ Beyza, also known from Pink Istanbul (Paradiso) and De Turkse Boot during Gay Pride, is behind the dj booth with all the queer classics and the new hits!

Hüseyin Badıllı

Born in Turkey, living in Holland, Hüseyin Badilli mixes jazz with Turkish music in a way only someone with his background can: he learned traditional Turkish music in his childhood, studied Western classical singing in college and moved across the globe to discover what jazz is all about. It was his love for jazz music that led him to discover the similarities between Turkish vocal ornamentation and the improvisation used when singing jazz. Exploring both similarities and differences between these forms became the driving force behind Hüseyin's musical style. Hüseyin Badilli is the composer, singer and leader of the Hüseyin Badilli Band (H.B.B.).

DJ BEYZA

Since 1997, Beyza has been at the forefront of the electronic music scene in her hometown of Istanbul, Turkey. Early in her career, she was chosen to play at the largest open air club of Europe called 2019. Following these early gigs, Beyza quickly ascended to the height of Istanbul's underground scene and beyond. Her trips as a professional DJ have not only taken her to venues all over Turkey, but stretch as far as France, Cyprus, Germany, Netherlands, Austria, Romania, Slovenia, Georgia, Bulgaria, Ukrania, Polland, and the United States.
