Course - Introduction to Turkey

We hear a lot about Turkey as a bridge between East and West, as a democratic and/or Islamic country, as a rising regional power, as the land of origin of many Turks living in Europe and as a holiday destination. European and Eastern: Turkey evokes many and often contradictory thoughts and images. How well do we actually know the country and its inhabitants? If you like to know more, this course offers an opportunity to get to know Turkey, its history, people, politics, culture and religion better.
