Documentary "The Turkish Boat" - Istanbul

De Turkse boot (The Turkish boat) is a documentary trying to raise awareness about the big taboo of gays in the Turkish community. It does so through the eyes of two young Dutch Turkish Amsterdammers, Done and Serdar, in their run-up to the Gay Pride. In 2012 in Amsterdam, for the first time, a Turkish boat participated in the parade. After the parade, threats of the participants proofed the necessity of the project. De Turkse boot will be screened in the Dutch Chapel.
