Launch of Station to Station #5: Places and Acts of Resistance
DutchCulture | TransArtists is pleased to invite you to join us at our online event on Thursday 30 January for the launch of the fifth issue of the online magazine Station to Station, Places and Acts of Resistance.
In this issue, Zapravka, an initiative supporting art residencies in Ukraine, contributed a text from their first-hand experience working in and around the front lines. Also included is an impression from a visit to Kharkiv by Lotte Geeven, artist and advisor at DutchCulture | TransArtists, and a more general perspective on places and acts of resistance by Mary Ann de Vlieg, long term advocate for displaced and at-risk artists. Other contributors include Alma Salem, curator and the Executive Director of the Syrian Political Feminist Movement; Heidi Vogels, artist and filmmaker and Bojana Panevska, writer and researcher – both also working as advisors at DutchCulture | TransArtists.
During the launching event there will be a panel discussion with Judith Depaule, Agency of Artists in Exile, France; Simon Dove, CEC ArtsLink, USA and Alona Karavai, Asortymentna Kimnata, Ukraine.
