Dutch Foundation for Literature & Omi International Arts Center: Writer-in-residence in Ledig House

Dutch Foundation for Literature & Omi International Arts Center: Writer-in-residence in Ledig House

Nederlands Letterenfonds & Omi International Arts Center: Writer-in-residence in Ledig House
Funded residency for literary writers and translators

The Dutch Foundation for Literature is one of the 6 national cultural funds in the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
Omi International Arts Center is a non-profit arts center with residency programs for international writers, translators, architects, artists, dancers and musicians: the Ledig House in New York State. The mission of the Omi Arts Center is to introduce its guests to the American cultural scene and to assist them in their careers wherever possible. During the day, residents work quietly on their own projects, and in the evenings, they gather for events such as meetings with New York publishers, editors, or literary agents. The language for all activities is English.

Both writers and translators can apply for this residency opportunity. Each year, there is a spot available in May for a Dutch resident: in even years for a writer and in odd years for a literary translator. Previous residents include Niña Weijers, Rebekka Herman Mostert, Hanna Bervoets, Lieke Marsman, and Arthur Langeveld.
