Performing Arts Fund NL: Grant for foreign performances or concerts in the Netherlands
The Performing Arts Fund is the cultural fund for music, theater, music theater, dance, and festivals in the Kingdom of the Netherlands. It is one of the 6 the national funds for culture. On behalf of the Dutch government, the Fund provides support to all forms of professional performing arts in the Netherlands and the Caribbean part of the Kingdom (Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao, Saba, Sint-Eustatius, Sint-Maarten).
This grant is for programming special foreign performances and concerts in the Netherlands. The goal is to stimulate international quality and diversity in the performing arts in the Netherlands and to contribute to building and reaching an audience for this.
Venues or festivals based in the Netherlands or the Caribbean part of the Kingdom (Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, Sint-Maarten, Saba, Sint-Eustatius) that wish to program foreign performances and concerts.
- Costs related to programming performances or concerts by companies, ensembles or performers based in the Kimgdom of rhe Netherlands. It is also possible to submit an application for more than one performance by a single organisation or for multiple performances by more than one organisation;
- Costs of fringe programming (e.g. workshops, masterclasses, lectures).
Not specified: the amount is based on the travel and transport costs for the relevant performance(s) or concert(s).
Applications are assessed with reference to the following criteria:
- Artistic quality;
- Entrepreneurship;
- Contribution to international cultural policy;
- Contribution to the diversity of the performing arts offerings in the Netherlands.
