Funding for scientific talent in the field of Mediterranean archaeology

The Raphaëlle-Anne Kok-Merlino Fund is set up in memory of Raphaëlle-Anne who as an enthusiastic researcher and highly experienced and passionate field archaeologist.

This grant supports scientific talent for further education or research abroad. Preference is given to talent in the field of Mediterranean antiquity and heritage, including archaeology, ancient studies, and heritage studies, with a special focus on Italy.

The scholarship amounts to an average of approximately € 2,500 to € 8,000 per application.

Requirements
  • Graduated from an institution of higher education, either as a bachelor (HBO) or as a master (WO). A foreign diploma must be recognized in the Netherlands and be equivalent to a Dutch bachelor's (HBO) or master's degree (WO).;
  • An average grade of eight or higher in your most recently completed education;
  • Dutch nationality or registered in the Netherlands for at least 3 years.
