The International Documentary Filmfestival Amsterdam (IDFA) is the largest documentary festival in the world. Annually the festival shows around 300 documentaries from the Netherlands and abroad. These are selected by three criteria: artistic excellence, social urgency and accessibility. In addition to the festival, IDFA has developed several professional activities, contributing to the development of filmmakers and their films at all stages.
