New member of DutchCulture's Supervisory Board: Jacquill G. Basdew
We are pleased to welcome Jacquill Basdew – also known as J.G. Basdew in his artistic practice – as a new member of our Supervisory Board. Jacquill is a curator, multidisciplinary artist, and cultural strategic advisor with a deep commitment to fostering social progress and inclusivity through his work.
Born and raised in Amsterdam, but strongly connected to the wider Netherlands from an early age, the core values of freedom, equality, and solidarity are central to his identity and practice. Through his artistic and social initiative, bsdwcorp., Jacquill leads cultural projects where inclusivity and societal advancement take centre stage.
In addition to his creative work, Jacquill holds key governance roles at Kunstmuseum The Hague, the Stadscuratorium Amsterdam, and the Advisory Board of the National Theatre. Across all of these positions, he consistently strives to promote inclusivity and make art accessible to diverse communities, to engage a broad audience in the art and cultural dialogue, allowing everyone the opportunity to experience the transformative power of art and culture.
