Turkey starts using e-visa for foreign nationals

Turkey has recently launched its electronic visa (e-Visa) application system. This system is also available for Dutch citizens. As of 17 April 2013, electronic visa (e-Visa) replaces the “sticker visa”, which was issued at the border crossings.

An e-Visa application is possible from any place with an internet connection. Applicants just need to log on to www.evisa.gov.tr , provide the requested information, make online payment after approval and download their e-Visa. The whole process takes no more than 10 minutes.
