Writer/ photographer Lambert van der Aalsvoort will give a lecture with slides on Sacred Mountains in China on Saturday, 21 May, from 16.00 – 17.30, in The Hague.
Mountains play an important role in Chinese Taoism and Buddhism, with some mountains having a sacral status, and are therefore a favourite topic in Chinese landscape painting.
The lecture will take place in Chinese art gallery Boyuan Art House in The Hague (Hillebrant Jacobsplein 1, 2515 XS The Hague, near the central railway station, tel. 06 12988189, www.boyuan.nl), and will be followed by a reception.
