Minke van Schaik, Advisor Egypt | South Africa
I work at DutchCulture as an advisor on cultural cooperation with Egypt and South Africa, actively engaging with the cultural sectors of both countries to forge connections. I love to give advice and stimulate cultural exchanges between creatives from the Netherlands and both countries. I previously worked on programmes focusing on a variety of geographies and disciplines, varying from a visitors programme on the topic of creative aging for Italian cultural professionals to an event on artist-in-residencies in rural Spain.
I hold an MA in Comparative Cultural Analysis from the University of Amsterdam and an MA in Curating Art and Cultures from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Before working for DutchCulture, I worked as a curator-in-training at Centraal Museum Utrecht and as a writer for the contemporary visual art magazine Metropolis M.
