Youth

Even though there is a part dedicated to youth in each chapter the cultural disciplines, there are some general concerns that are good to take into account when developing projects for youth in Turkey. According to 2009 census figures by the Turkish Statistics Institute (TurkStat) released in August 2010, the median age of Turkey’s young population, which is larger than the total population of many European countries and is second in Europe only to Russia’s, rose from 28.5 years to 28.8 years in 2009. Half of Turkey’s population is under the age of 28.8.
