Call for Applications Roadshow Games Industry in India
The Indian game trade organization Nasscom, the Dutch Game Association, the Dutch Embassy in India and DutchCulture call for Dutch representatives in the game industry to apply for this roadshow in India and will select twelve applicants to join.
The Indian game industry is booming. The Indian mobile gaming market, one of the fastest expanding markets in the world, is expected to grow to USD 571.6 million by 2016. With this growth, the Indian game industry is also maturing into a market that is not solely producing for foreign companies and markets but it is also designing its own games more and more. In addition, there is a growing interest in designing serious games to tackle social issues such as health care, sexual harassment and domestic violence. This also includes using serious game as a training program and skill development tool. Since The Netherlands are known for their high quality serious gaming scene , we think that working together can have mutual benefits for both countries.
Details Roadshow
The organizing partners will select twelve Dutch representatives to travel to India. This five day roadshow helps them connect to developers, designers and game publishers in India, find opportunities to collaborate with Indian experts and identify Indian partners with whom they can work creatively together on innovative game solutions to social challenges as well as working on casual games.
The roadshow will travels to four significant cities in the Indian game industry: Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, and Delhi. The delegation will visit several studios and there will be plenty of room in the program for exchanging knowledge and discussing topical gaming and social issues in seminars. The roadshow is a run-up to the Nasscom Game Developers Conference in the fall of 2016. The Netherlands will be the focus country of this conference.
The organizing partners will cover local accommodation and travel cost during the roadshow as well as program related daily costs such as lunch and some dinners.
