A new website for the Compendium of Cultural Policies & Trends

Just in time for the new decade, the Compendium of Cultural Policies & Trends launched its renewed platform on December 5th.

Established in 1998 by ERICarts and the Council of Europe, the Compendium is an online information and monitoring system of national cultural policies and related development. At the heart of this platform lies the Compendium database, which encompasses 43 cultural policy country profiles. These profiles are written and updated by independent cultural policy experts, in consultation with respective ministries.

Culturalpolicies.net is a user-friendly cultural policy tool for a wide range of users – from researchers and students to policy officers and other government officials. Apart from easier navigation and a more modern look overall, the website offers a restructured database, a themes section (including current cultural affairs and cultural education) and a vast amount of tables in the statistics and comparisons section. Whether you wish to deepen your knowledge on specific cultural policies within Europe or want to compare developments by country or theme – the Compendium offers various tools to help you along the way.
