Concert Venues: Shanghai

• Shanghai Grand Theater The Shanghai Grand Theater has held various kinds of performances, including opera, ballet, symphony orchestra, and large-scale arts festivals. It has also hosted performances of first class artists and productions from around the world, including the grand opera Aida (in cooperation with an opera theater in Italy), Cinderella performed by the Belgian Royal Ballet Troupe and the Berlin Broadcasting Symphony Orchestra.

 • Shanghai Oriental Art Center Completed in 31 December 2004, the Shanghai Oriental Art Center, a public cultural facility resembling the shape of five leaves, was jointly built by the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government and the People’s Government of Pudong New District with a total investment of RMB one million.  - 30 - 

• Shanghai Concert Hall The Shanghai Concert Hall, one of the historical architectures under conservation in Shanghai, was built in 1930. In 2004, the Shanghai Media and Entertainment Group invested to complete a massive renovation project. 

• Jinmao Concert Hall Jinmao Concert Hall comprises the Concert Hall and the Arts Corridor. It is a concert hall mainly for Chamber music. The cellist Qin Liwei is the Art Director. The Concert Hall organizes the ‘Music After 6’ salon to promote classical music.
