Classical Music magazines

Turkey has two classical music magazines. Orkestra is a unique example of a continuous press since it has been around since 1964. It is certainly a priceless phenomenon that deserves respect since in Turkey it’s all about the `new` and `the next thing`. On the other hand, the other one, Andante, has been doing a good job among their own financial struggles. Its editor-in-chief Serhan Bali is a one-man-engine and has managed to keep the magazine alive and prestigious since 2002. They started giving out Andante Classical Music Prizes annually with the aim of recognition, encouragement and more visibility.
