Brazil is one of the 27 most popular countries in the world, according to a league table by the BBC World Service. The successful transition to a democratic system and a strong, female president have changed the way that the world looks at this country.

Together with the stable economic growth, a growing middle class and the prospect of large events such as the Football World Championships in 2014 and the Olympic Games in 2016, an optimistic vibe has been created that is currently less tangible elsewhere in the world.
