Concert - Mark Alban Lotz & Duygur Demir
Mark Lotz is a German improviser, flutist and composer now based in Holland. Born in Tübingen raised up in Bangkok and Kampala, studies in the US and Holland. A charismatic personality in today’s scene of improvised & jazz music which takes him all over the globe. Mark creates a surprising vision on flute within improvised music. He will be performing at Gitar Cafe in Istanbul together with Duygu Demir.
Duygu Demir started music and ballet studies at an early age. After she attended Bilkent University Music and Performing Arts Faculty's High School, she studied cello with Jozsef Györffy, participated in contemporary music encounters facilitated by E. Oğuz Fırat, and attended post-romantic and contemporary music analysis lessons with İlhan Baran.
Duygu was a member of Christian Sala’s gamba ensemble, performing in multiple concerts in Spain and France. Additionally, she has participated in festivals and concerts together with contemporary dancers, free music improvisers, world musicians and recorded collaborations for a number of albums by renowned musicians.
