De WorldTalks: Stad Die Naar Meneer Sun Verhuisde

On Friday 13 March, WordTalks shines a new light on China. Journalist Michiel Hulshof and architect Daan Roggeveen will present the first Dutch edition of their internationally acclaimed book How The City Moved To Mr Sun about China's emerging megacities.

Together with NEXT Architects, an office with extensive experience in China, they will give short, provoking presentations about the lessons that Europe can draw from China's rise. Hulshof and Roggeveen will present their plans to change the Dutch province of Flevoland into a Chinese-style Special Economic Zone (SEZ).

During the program, they will contact artist Dashui from the Chinese city of Wuhan through Skype.

WorldTalks takes place every Friday between 6 and 7.30 pm in Café Cox and is free of charge
