Dutch Writers at Tanpinar Festival
The ITEF 2013 theme “City and Game” will shape the readings, discussions and fantastic literary panels of the Turkish and foreign writers.
TEF 2013 - Istanbul Tanpinar Literature Festival, whose main sponsor is the Vehbi Koç Foundation, is going to focus on the following themes: the relationship of reader and author in the triangle of boredom, game, and literature; the areas that literature expands to and influences; the inseparable union of literary fiction and game; and the ancient roots of storytelling which are undeniably human.
The festival events this year will be taking place in wonderfully atmospheric locations such as Amsterdam Café that will be the host for Café Amsterdam nights, Cezayir Restaurant’s conference salon, kargArt, and the Ahmet Hamdi Tanpinar Literature Museum and Library.
This year four Dutch writer will participated in the Tanpınar Literature Festival. These writers are Murat Isik, Jan van Mersbergen , Bibi Dumon Tak and Barbara Stok. They will talk about their work and the theme of the festival.
Attending these events will be free of charge, notifying attendance is a must.
The festival will take place in Istanbul, Bursa, Konya, Erzurum, Ankara.
