The Erasmus Huis is the cultural centre of the Netherlands' Embassy in Jakarta, and was founded in 1970. On Wednesday 27 January 2021, the Erasmus Huis celebrates its 50th anniversary, as well as 50 years of cultural collaboration between Indonesia and the Netherlands. To praise and reflect on this achievement, Erasmus Huis in close cooperation with DutchCulture, hosts a free virtual celebration via YouTube. During this event, artists, ministers and other friends of Erasmus Huis will discuss of the importance of this cultural centre and its mission. And of course, you will be treated to inspiring performances.

Programme
The programme for the Erasmus Huis 50 Years virtual celebration has been announced! We will stream the event live from the Koninklijke Schouwburg in The Hague.

Get ready for performances by Emil Landman, Annabel Laura, Pynarello and Kika Sprangers. Several Dutch and Indonesian artists will share their stories of working with, or performing in, the Erasmus Huis. The Dutch Minister of Foreign Affairs Stef Blok and the Indonesian Minister of Education and Culture Nadiem Makarim will emphasize the importance of the Erasmus Huis in nurturing the relationship between both countries. And the Dutch Minister of Education, Culture and Science Ingrid van Engelshoven will talk with Emil Landman about his tour through Indonesia.
