Exhibition Mehmet Tunali

On November 20 (7pm), the exhibition ‘Mehmet Tunali in retrospective’ will be opened in Studios Cukurcuma. The exhibition will be open for public till December 13. Consul General Robert Schuddeboom and Cultural Attaché Jeroen Gankema will attend the opening of the exhibition. Mehmet Tunali (1955 – 2004) is an artist from Istanbul who grew up drawing caricatures on Istiklal Caddesi. Tunali spent two decades of his life in the Netherlands where he opened several solo-exhibitions. His dreamy, impressionist oil and water-based paintings feature both Amsterdam and various places in Turkey. It was his last wish that his paintings would be exhibited in Istanbul, ‘for all the people to see.’
